Fulton County will Close Public Facilities on September 26
Virtual Services will Continue
Fulton County public facing facilities will be closed on Thursday, September 26. This includes libraries, senior centers, and tax offices and government centers.
The Fulton County Courthouse will remain open for emergency matters. Jurors will not report on Thursday, September 26. In-person hearings will be rescheduled. Virtual proceedings will continue. Fulton County Probate Court will not hold weddings on Friday, September 26.
Residents may continue to access tax services online at www.fultoncountytaxes.org or by phone. Vehicle tags are also available through kiosks in Kroger stores.
Virtual services will continue for behavioral health and developmental disability clients.
The Fulton County Board of Health will close its facilities at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 26 and will be open for virtual services only on Friday, September 27. Vital records will be available online only.
Fulton County Administrative departments will encourage employees to telework wherever possible while continuing virtual operations.
All public safety services will continue. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will prioritize Jail operations to ensure the safety and security of detainees.
Public Works staff will carefully monitor water sewer systems for impact from flooding.
The Atlanta Fulton Emergency Management Agency is coordinating with all Fulton County public safety partners to prepare for this severe weather event. Fulton County residents are encouraged to closely monitor weather conditions and prepare for possible power outages.
